Not only is he a good teacher he is also a good human being and has a good sense of humour which he needed when he first started teaching me. I would recommend him to anyone who would love to sing but doesn't believe they can, I know I was one of them.

I had a very weak voice due to strain and stress which impacted even speaking normally, but Neville has helped me for a few months to strengthen my voice and build my confidence! He knows his stuff and all about the voice box, muscles, different techniques and exercises to support vocal strength and more. Really great fun atmosphere and lovely teacher to work with! Thanks for all the help.

Neville is a brilliant teacher,he draws the best out of you, and you discover that you can do things you didn't know you could do, he has faith in the people he teaches,and your confidence builds because of his encouragement and his belief in you. you will work hard but Neville makes it fun and enjoyable!

I really enjoy my singing lessons with Neville. He's very patient and explains things very clearly and simply, which is great as I'm a total beginner. I have a long way to go, but I'm pleased with how far I've come already with Neville's encouragement and guidance.

My son really enjoys singing.. Neville is bringing a different spin/journey/aspect to the whole learning process.

Proper brings it back to basics and starts from the beginning.

My boy enjoys his session and I hear him doing his homework and really proud of the whole process.

Should be back on course soon as we've had medical issues and hasn't been able to attend his lessons.

Really enjoy my son enjoying what he loves doing and Neville is a good tutor.

The best part of the week for me is my singing lesson!! Neville is very patient an amazing teacher his knowledge and experience is second to none. Have you ever wanted to be able to sing?? If you have NO experience or are already a singer then this is where you need to be. Not only singing lessons, violin lessons too, and music theory, Neville trained with the best of the best in London

I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Neville, my range is much better and tone is improving. Lots to learn - practice makes the difference! I would certainly recommend anyone to give him a call and book lessons - you never know what you can achieve!

Neville makes singing so much fun. I have learnt so much. He has such a lot of patience when teaching.

Joining the Seagulls has been the best thing I’ve done in a long time, it’s not often you say that Monday is the highlight of your week, but getting to learn and laugh and make music with the most wonderful people under the most fantastic teacher will do that to you in an instant! Since I have joined The Screamin Seagulls I have found a whole new family! My Seagulls Sisters and brother are so supportive of each other and we all want to do our very best for our brilliant, funny, caring and awesome Musical Director/Maestro Neville. We all look forward to our rehearsal evenings, we know the end result will sound amazing. It is life enhancing and a great joy to be a small part of this loving group of people. My life would be missing something vital and exhilarating without it.

Joining Screaming Seagulls has been amazing for my confidence. Everyone is friendly and Nev works hard to really get the best out of everyone. Every rehearsal is great fun and I feel a sense of accomplishment too.

I joined the Screamin Seagulls at the very beginning, back in 2018.
To start with, I just wanted to sing again , having previously been in an adult performing arts group, which was disbanded, I was missing being involved in music.
But the Screaming Seagulls is so much more than just singing.
We have grown into a choir where everyone’s voices are valued and people are cared about . Under the kind , creative and passionate guidance of our choir master, we’re not just any singing group. Neville coaches us to be the best we can and if you ever get to listen to us when we perform in public you’ll hear this.
When you join us you’re not just becoming part of a choir you’ll also become part of the ‘ Seagull Family’ where everyone looks out for each other. We’re all made to feel welcome and loved.
I absolutely love being in this choir, there’s something very special about singing. Singing lifts you up and being with other like minded people, friends who value and respect each other, makes it the best choir to be in. I wouldn’t be any where else!!

I have been with the Seagulls for two and a half years and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and banter amongst the choir members, whenever we meet. The dedication and expertise of Neville Rowell to create the wonderful harmonies comes with its own rewards that anyone who has listened to the choirs finished results will attest to. Rehearsals on Monday evenings are a pleasure, and although sometimes challenging Nev spends as long as necessary to ensure all choir members (many of whom do not read music) are proficient with their respective parts, sometimes in as many as 5 part harmonies. I would recommend the Screaming Seagulls to anyone who likes to sing to come along and join us, you won’t regret it!

Fabulous evening, I really enjoyed it. About 35 years ago I said i was finished with singing and never wanted to sing in a choir again either. Then along came Neville and the Screaming Seagulls and all that, and here we are.... I just love it.

Thanks Nev, how we sound, how we do most of it is down to you expert tuition guidance and patience. We sound so lovely now.

I started going to The Screaming Seagulls in Feb after moving to Lowestoft from London I have sung and performed most of my life but while dealing with Long Covid I needed to start being social again and stepping out of my shell once more Neville and Seagulls have helped me with confidence in my voice refinding its strength and there is a real sense of community we have a laugh but we work hard and create a fantastic sound all together Thank you Nev and my Seagull Darhlings! xx

I joined the choir in August 2022 when they resumed after lockdown. From the moment I walked in I found everyone so welcoming and friendly. We are a hard working choir but we have so much fun. Neville makes us laugh all the time, but he can be serious when it is needed. The harmonies we learn are brilliant, sometimes challenging but we get there in the end. I have made some lovely new friends along the way. Really enjoy my 2 hours on a Monday night.

A really fun choir. Everyone is very welcoming. Neville is very patient and really helps get the best out of everyone. If you love to sing then this is a great place to be.
