Neville Rowell Music
Violin Tuition
The violin is something so many have always wanted to try but not taken that leap. All of my students, from the ages of 6 to 60 who have started with me, have benefited from my experience, discovering with my step by step support it wasn't as scary as they first thought, finding a new fascination with the instrument.

I have developed, through playing the violin for over 20 years, how to maximise the ergonomics of the violin. This means that even when you start you will avoid that scratchy sound we all associate with a beginner. I will "set up" your instrument so that it works with your individual body, so to make those first steps as supported as they can possibly be, this will set you up for life and maximise your abilities.

Having trained with Professor Gerhard Smidt at the Guildhall School of Music, I have a vast array of techniques and experience at my disposal. Gerhard himself being taught by Jeno Hubay, winning a scholarship through competition to study his masters with Yehudi Menuhin himself and being a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for over 5 years.

So whether you are just beginning or a professional, whatever your standard I can help you achieve your goals.
